Founded in 1825 by two brothers in England, started out by creating rugs out of sheepskins. In 1828, they began using offcuts from the rugs to produce slippers – the first shoes. By the early 1940s, they developed a new foot measuring system for children to ensure that shoes were fitted correctly. Their biggest ‘fashion’ moment came in 1950 with the design of the Desert boot.
